What does LIFETIME WARRANTY mean ?

First, let me start by telling you how some other companies work. There's a major LED company you see at a lot of big shows. I won't mention their name, but you'd probably recognize it, if you've been to a few events. They're the guys who pull in with a semi and 3 or 4 guys. ( By the way, who do you thing pays for all that ? Could that be why their installs run $400-700 ?)

This is how their LIFETIME WARRANTY works:

You mail them back the non-working part with $5.00 and they send you a replacement. That's not a warranty. They just sell you a new part each time for about $7.00 including shipping.  Check their literature. That's how it works and it's bullshit.

By the way, if they feel that you damaged the part somehow, there's no warranty.

This is how my LIFETIME WARRANTY works:

                                             A Typical Phone call

        (ring-ring)

        Me:   " Hello ! "

My Customer:   " Dude, my mechanic is an idiot. He broke one

                            of my LEDs ! "

Me:     " Dude, bummer !  Give me your address and I'll throw

one in the mail.  You can fix it in about 5 minutes. "

That's it !  I don't need the old one back and I'm not going to hit you up for some bogus "shipping and handling".  Why am I so easy to get along with?

First, I only handle the best quality stuff I can find, so I don't see alot of defects or outright failures.  Good stuff lasts a long, long time.  Cheap stuff is more trouble than it's worth.

Second, let's face it, I make a couple bucks on everything I sell and I appreciate you spending your hard-earned bucks with me.  So, if something happens, your fault or not, why would I want to make a happy customer into an unhappy one over a few dollars.  That just seems dumb to me and it's not how I would want to be treated.

That's how I do business.  Try me and see.
